Thanks To Everyone

IT ALL started on Christmas Eve when I was just sitting back and relaxing at my nanny's house. I myself did not suffer from the fires but I know that many did. While I was sitting back I just thought what it would be like to not celebrate Christmas and the holiday season. I turned on her wide screen television to see fires, fires and more fires. Then I spotted the firemen. Not at their houses eating their wife's beautiful turkey and roast vegetables but fighting. Not fighting with guns and swords, but with water and their hearts. The firemen fought the fires through the holiday season and beyond. The volunteers made the brave warriors (firemen) lunch every day and helped the people who suffered, and I would also like to mention the RSPCA and WIRES for their help to the now homeless animals. So I would like to give the volunteers and the RSPCA and WIRES a pat on the back for the wonderful jobs they have done. Though the volunteers have done a magnificent job, I would like to give the firemen (and women) a giant round of applause, a life's supply of pats on the back and many, many thanks.

Let's think local
FOR a so-called Independent, Cr Christian talks a lot about her ``team" and ``fellow team members" not to mention her preoccupation with the ALP.
As a lifetime Thirroul resident and long-time bowling club member I would urge Cr Christian to act independent and:
Put the bowling club plans on public display
Get the Community Centre going
Get a bit of grass mowed in Thirroul
Get the footpath fixed.
Remember - Think Local.
